Chapter Seven

One of these days..well, probably right after this post, I'm going to put up a little biography type thing about myself. Why not know the author?! :D (even if only one or two people ever read this...I WANT YOU TO KNOW!!) so, be prepared for that... and just as another add-on, I'm sorry if this chapter has a few problems with tenses...i don't think this was the chapter i have trouble with concerning tenses, but i won't know until i read over the others. I'm better about it now, but back when i wrote this one i think it was bad, ha ha. (I'm all the way up to chapter 20 in my written format!) so here we go! enjoy!

Chapter Seven:
The Internet Can Be Useful

From The View Of:
Tetsudai

Don't get me wrong, France was pretty and everything, but not every Francian was extremely polite...
Don't judge for my new word "Francian"...You must admit that it sounds better than "French Person"...
It didn't help that I spoke absolutely no French, or any other language other than English at that...But their coffee was great.

One may be wondering, "Why is this lad going to France?" Well, my friend, I go anywhere I want, when I want. I had a certain impulse to come here, so, guess what? I came. Here, one may be asking "Isn't it a strange coincidence that the girl is here too?" Well, I have a bit of a longer answer to that one...

...................................................................................

At first, I had just known the girl was the only daughter of Love, which I would say, aided me in narrowing my search in extreme. I'd known she was an assassin by the way she had obviously thought of me as a job, saying something about money as well. "So," the little voice in my head says, "Thanks for all that, Captain Obvious. You find out anything we don't already know?"

Well, my little imaginary voice, whom I refer to as "One" quite a lot, I have found something out! Here is where the plot gets interesting. I am the reason this girl is here.

One may be gasping or exclaiming in surprise or confusion, but, I guarantee, it will make sense soon.

See, it started with finding out about her previous jobs, which considering this day and time, was fairly easy to start. "How?" asks the little voice. The simple answer is the demon-networking system. An intricate of demon-only coded material accessed over the Internet.

Most humans call the connections something like a virus or put them off as some sort of spam, but demons, or half-demons like myself, can easily decipher it and trace it back to the main network. The network holds all of the most recent important information: Births of newly powerful demons, Slayer Alerts, Assassinations of influential demons, Rogue Demons, and most importantly, the latest info on all the demon fashion and clothing.

Out of the things i listed, there was no way I was going to find anything on her under the Births or the fashion and clothing areas.

I had spent a lot of time in my upscale Dallas hotel room before the Plane trip reading through the major demon assassinations, but nothing ever really stuck out. Most of them were gory and without reason. I didn't give up though and continued looking all through the night.

I was barely awake when I figured I would look under rogue demons for the heck of it. I was completely awake when the #1 most wanted Rogue picture was a slightly blurry image of the woman's beautiful but sharp and expressionless face.

I had clicked on it right away and was surprised at how little they really had on her. Although it showed she had been suspected of being involved in an unreal amount of murders and assassinations. Even the written article on her was short.

Article:

This demon goes by the name of Kanshihei. We have conducted summonings and resolved that this is, in fact, not her real calling. This demon is extremely dangerous and any information on her will be promptly rewarded. Do not seek to conduct business with her. As stated before, this demon is extremely dangerous. If you find yourself in direct presence of her, every demon is ordered to kill immediately. If anyone is proven to associate with her, the punishment is death.

What a cheerful and light read, indeed.

I was surprised by the brutality of it, but there was a list of alleged associates that i was able to hack into.

I, or course, was able to use my amazing technological skills to find out all I needed to know about each of the suspects. I dropped a line to each one that was still living.

I had no luck with the first few but I was able to get a "business cell" number from one guy with a low, gruff voice.

I called and it was only a computerized recorder for "Customers wanting certain pests to be quickly eexterminated."

The extra annunciation on "pests" and "exterminated" kind of gave it away. I used a voice modifier to leave the sweet little Love's-Daughter a message that made her come to France without hesitation.

"Name your own price. Any amount. Difficult goal that may only be obtained by one of your expertise, Milady. Arrive in France before one week from this day or the deal dissolves and we find a new business associate. More information will be given after your arrival."

Oh, the little sweety didn't know what was coming at her. She would wrongly assume this was a usual job, but, oh, no! This was going to be something completely new to her.

...................................................................................

About a night after she arrived, I left her another message. I just can't wait to see her pretty little face in the situation I've put her up to.

(end of chapter seven)

WELL, it took me two and a half hours to type...not because i type slow...but because i was so distracted by quite a few other things,ha ha, anyway, what do you think?? be sure to comment!! Keep it real! Don't hold back. Comments. Insults. Constructive Criticism...I'll take it all!! Thanks for reading and stay tuned for Chapter Eight: Date-Night. ;)
